I recently hired Rob Nielsen to Construct a new deck on my home in Hull . The process from start to finish,was one of the best experiences I have had working with a contractor. Starting from the estimate,then the permitting process,to the final finished product ,Rob was always in communication with me every step of the way. He helped me design the deck and the finished product was a beautifully designed,well built deck that I will enjoy for many years to come. We worked with AJN Construction in December of 2023 to rebuild two decks on our home in Hull, MA. He was quick to come by and give us a detailed quote on the project and was happy to make recommendations on materials and options to fit our budget. He and his team worked quickly and wrapped up right on schedule. The team went above and beyond, adding hooks to our covered porch for my hanging plants, reframing a basement window with extra material from the project and adding some holiday wreaths to the porch as we were nearing the holiday season. He's since checked in on how things are holding up and 2-years later we are loving our new trex decks! It's given the entire property a face lift. Rob is not only a great neighbor, but a great builder and professional. He will be my first call for future projects! 

When looking for a contract for my basement renovation, I wanted to hire someone local from the community. I had seen Rob's postings on Next Door and felt he was the right fit. The reno included a complete bathroom demo from ceiling to floor with a tub to shower conversion. Friends can't believe it's the same bathroom! He also installed an Armstrong plank ceiling over an existing suspended ceiling grid. The results are like night and day. Anyone wanting to update the old look of a suspended ceiling should check them out! The kitchen area was updated with a new counter, sink and faucet. A barn door was added for functionality and privacy. Three new windows were installed to enhance the space and a deadlight window was replaced with a white shelf unit. The only surprise was the work was completed in 12 days, less time than was quoted . The project was well executed with attention to detail and Rob returned as promised for a few minor adjustments. You can't go wrong with hiring AJN as a contractor.
